What was the economic status of women in the ancient period during the Gupta rule?

The participation of women in administrative and economic activities was very less. Some of their limitations were:

1. They did not have control over land resources and other economic resources.
2. They were under the authority of their fathers and husbands and were dependent on them for their decisions.
