What persuades Princess September to give the birds his freedom again?

The bird refused to sing and stopped eating. He fainted and lay dying in his cage. September gave a started cry to see him lying down lifelessly. She loved his so much and was so precious to her more than her own pleasure. So she permitted him his freedom.
