What are some of the rules laid down for the Bhikkhus in the Vinaya Pitaka?
Some of the rules laid down for the Bhikkhus in Vinaya Pitaka are:
- A Bhikkhu should keep a new blanket with him for six years. If he tries to acquire a new blanket within six years without the permission of the other Bhikkhus, then his blanket will be forfeited.
- A bhikkhu can accept only two or three bowls of cakes or cooked grain meals offered by a family during his visit. If he takes more than that then he has to confess and share it with other Bhikkus.
