The Garoghlanian tribes were the natives of Armenia. They were once rich and prosperous. They had their lands. They had to flee from their homeland, may be due to war. Now, they had settled in Assyria. They had lost their land, their property and everything. Now, they were living in abject poverty. They had no money. People wondered where they ever got money enough to keep up with food in their bellies. Though poor, they were famous for their trust and honesty. They were proud of their honesty. They believed in right and wrong. None of them could think of deceiving anybody in the world. The Garoghlanians were men of simple faith. They were contended with their lot. They enjoyed being alive. They were very hospitable. They entertained their guests with coffee and tobacco. They knew the art of living, which is the celebration of being alive.
