Describe the changing relationship between the author and his grandmother. Did their feelings for each other change?

In the beginning, when living in the village, the author and his grandmother were very close. She was involved in his daily life, taking care of him and teaching him. When they moved to the city, and the author started attending an English school, their relationship changed since she could no longer assist him with his education.

As he grew older and left to study abroad, their physical closeness reduced even more, but the emotional bond remained strong. Throughout all these changes in circumstances, their deep affection and respect for each other never waned though distances grew between them.
