Why did Mourad not look worried when the narrator asked where they would hide the horse?

Mourad had stolen the horse a month before. Since then, he had been enjoying early morning ride. Then he would hide the horse in the barn of a deserted vineyard. So, he did not look worried when the narrator asked where they would hide the horse.
