Which stories does the narrator tell his Dream Children in the Essay ‘Dream Children’?

Charles Lamb, narrates to his Dream Children, about his vivid memories of his childhood. He begins to narrate about their great grandmother Ms. Field at large. He tells the children about how religious and respectable their great grandmother was. She remembered all the Psaltery by heart and also a great part of the Testament. She lived in a mansion in Norfolk as a caretaker. So loved she was that her funeral was attended by people from neighbouring countries too.

Lamb tells the children that Ms. Field loved all her grand-children a lot, but she had a special liking for Uncle John L, the uncle of the kids. Lamb tells the children how he used to wander about in the mansion when he used to visit Ms. Field’s during his holidays. Whereas Uncle John was a high spirited person. He used to go for horse riding for long distances and sometimes also joined the hunters. Lamb tells the children how much he loved his elder brother and missed his presence in his life due to his sudden death.

Further, on the children’s demand, Lamb goes on to speak about their mother. He told them how much he had loved her and how the two courted for seven long years. But due to her ‘coyness’ and ‘denial’ he faced problems and ultimately was dismayed at her refusal to marry him.

Thus Lamb discusses about his emotional childhood and youth and also speaks about his relationship with great grandmother and the Uncle of the children.
