What gave opportunity to Antonio to deprive Prospero of his dukedom?

Prospero was wholly devoted to his study of liberal arts. He was carried away by his studies and was deeply absorbed in them. He had lost contact with affairs of the state. This gave a golden opportunity to Antonio to make a plot against him and to deprive him of his dukedom.
