What do the reactions indicate about the nature and temperament of each?

Princess September was a sensitive little girl. Her reaction to the loss of her parrot was natural. It indicated that she had a soft and loving heart. The Queen mother on the otherhand, was harsh/strict and without feelings, very severe and not motherly.
