What are some of the features of the Chaityas?

Chaityas were considered to be the sacred places of the Buddhist culture. Some of the features of these sites are:

  1. These sites contain some special trees or unique rocks. These sites were the symbols of natural beauty.
  2. Some small shrines were also located in these places which became the symbol of worship for the Buddhist followers.
