Describe the mental condition of the voyagers on 4th and 5th January.

On January 4th, the mental condition of the voyagers was stable. They were in a fighting mood with the disaster. They did not set any sail on the main mast. However, they hoisted the storm jib. They ate their first meal in almost two days which was corned beef and cracker biscuits.
