Referring closely to the first Act of the play ‘Candida’, give an account of the conversation between Lexy and Rev. Alexander Mill and Proserpine.

Prossy tells Lexy that she doesn’t like the over-praising of Candida by Morell. He used to say, “Candida here, Candida there & Candida everywhere”. Lexy looked shocked to which Proserpine further continued that a man must not seem a fool while praising his wife. Lexy praised the beauty of Candida and the look in her eyes as captured in the photograph. Proserpine starts comparing Candida with herself saying that both have the same eyes and accuses Lexy of thinking her to be second rate. Lexy looked reproachful saying that he does not bias between creations of nature. Proserpine understood the tone of Lexy and sarcastically thanked him for rating her at par with Candida.
