The economic resources for the construction of stupas were managed through the following channels:

1. There was large scale donations from the Kings, guilds and other prominent religious institutions for the construction of the stupas.
2. There was also huge donations from the common men and women for the construction of these buildings. The names of these individuals were written on the internal part of the stupas.
