How do smaller desert animals fulfil their need for water?

Smaller desert animals do not drink water. In order to fulfill their need for water they go underground during the day and come out at night to eat. Some animals eat other animals and get water from the moisture of the meat. Other animals eat plants and seeds and get moisture from thick stems.
