Have you known someone like the author’s grandmother? Do you feel the same sense of loss with regard to someone who you have loved and lost?

Yes, the author’s grandmother reminds me of my own grandmother who loved me a lot and she was adorable. Like Khushwant Singh’s grandmother, she was also a religious lady who believed in praying all the time and serving the poor. She had a great love for dogs. We own a dog whom she loved very much and made it a point to feed him at the right time. I lost her two years back but the sense of loss is still there. She always helped me in doing my homework and gave me unique ideas for my projects. I would have never faced any problem if my grandmother was around. I wish she had a longer life.
