Explain the following lines “The ivy which had hid my princely trunk, suck’d my verdure out on’t”.

After winning the trust of the subjects and the officials, Antonio could now keep Prospero out of the sight of people in the same way as ivy hides the trunk of a tree by climbing all around it and at the same time drawing nourishment from it. Antonio also pushed him entirely into the background though deriving his authority from him.
