Assumptions of Maslow’s Need Hierarchy Theory:

  1. People are motivated by the unfulfilled needs and once a particular need is satisfied, it ceases to be a motivating factor.
  2. People’s behaviour is based on their needs. Satisfaction of such needs influence their behaviour.
  3. People’s needs are in a hierarchical order, starting from basic needs to the other higher level needs.
